"All American Buddha" - Always Here

 I BELIEVE

I BELIEVE IN SEEDS AND REEDS,
MUSICAL VIBRATIONS,
AND A TOUCH OF BREATH,

IN MYSTERIOUS ANDIAN WINDS,
ANCIENT DESIGNS,
EARTH COLORS AND BLUE,

IN DEEP OIL RICH WOOD,
BLEACHED DRIFT ROOTS,
AND CLAMS,

IN LILLY POND'S INNOCENCE,
FROGS THAT CROAK BROWN,
LIGHT THROUGH HAZE,

IN THE PEPPER SMELL OF COLD MOUNTAIN STREAMS,
IN SLIPPERY,
IN CRAY AND LITTLE BROWN FISH,

IN THROATY FLUTE SOUNDS,
CHIMES OF CLAY,
AND TINY STONES,

I BELIEVE IN FLOWERS AND SHOWERS,
PEAS IN A POD,
AND BUMBLE BEES,

IN LITTLE TIN CUPS,
AND OLD WATER PUMPS,

IN TREES THAT MOVE,
ROOSTERS THAT CROW,DITTLES AND DUCKS,
AND BLOWING SNOW,

I BELIEVE IN MOUNTAINS AND SKY,
IN DEER THAT LEAP,
AND RABBITS,

IN OCEAN SPRAYED LOOPING GULLS,
PILLARS AND HALLS,

WILD GROWING FLOWERS IN FIELDS OF WHEAT,
APPLES AND LOGS,
NOVEMBER SLEET,
IN MAPLE LEAVES AND PINK BABY SLIPPERS,
IN GOD AND WATER SKIPPERS.

 My Mate

No one here,
has seen my mate,
I keep her safe,
behind my gate,
and should I drift,
into dispair,
I close my eyes ,
and join her there.

 MIGHTY MINNY

INDEED THERE IS THIS WORLD AT HAND,
WHERE LOVE HAS MADE IT'S CALL,
WHERE MIGHTY LEARNS THAT MINNY IS,
MOST MIGHTY AFTER ALL.

 KIDS RULE

Come with me
we'll laugh and play

we'll sing a song
along the way

i'll race ya
to that corner tree

bet the dog
will follow me

on yer mark
get set
lets go

the looser gets
to shovel snow

tripping pushing is a foul

yer shoes untied

I'll start a while!

 Cat's Nap

Who relates to little cats,
"Pepper" is my chump,
Dancin' sideways 'cross the floor,
formed into a hump,

Lightning black,
that streaks the halls,
skidding corners,
slamming walls,

Eating plants,
scratching floors,
lureing baby out the doors,

Destroys a vase,
while shooting by,
exploding efforts,
at a fly,

And given all,
both size and space,
his special skill,
his hideing place,

Though could be in,
most any nook,
always placed,
where last I look,

But comes the time,
to end his day,
brings to life,
his other way,

The way he puts,
his little head,
beneath my arm pit,
and plays dead,

He holds me down,
within my chair,
I wait to move,
there's sleeping there,

Like humming birds,
have filled my lap,
"Pepper" finally,
takes a nap.
